Fortis Solutions Group is hiring a Rewind Operator to operate and set up rewind equipment, break down large press rolls into smaller customer rolls, and ensure quality and correct labeling. The role includes verifying IDs, placing finished rolls in boxes for shipping or stock, and coordinating with supervisors on any labeling or ID issues.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of machine operation experience, preferably in printing-related production.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets and set up the rewind machine including blades, cores, and copy position.
• Operate the rewind machine to create finished customer rolls from large rolls.
• Check labels and rolls for quality and consistency.
• Perform splices by taping two rolls together and verify product IDs and visual inspection with supervisor sign-off.
• Verify Core IDs on finished rolls and ensure correct placement in boxes for shipping or stock.
