Job summary

GEA Germany GmbH is seeking a repair mechanic & balancer to perform manual repair operations, reassembly, and dynamic balancing of centrifuge equipment and assemblies at our New Jersey facility.

The role requires precision machining knowledge, experience with measuring tools, and the ability to read technical drawings. You will document data, maintain safety and quality standards, and support ongoing production and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with math/physics foundation.
• Associates in mechanical maintenance/engineering is a plus.
• Experience with rotating equipment and balancing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit centrifuge bowls assemblies.
• Repair and modify parts using hand tools or machines.
• Grind, polish or deburr parts to meet surface finish requirements.
• Balance rotating assemblies per drawings or specifications.
• Inspect and document measurements and quality data.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with QHSE rules.
