Job summary

Vanguard Soap in Memphis, TN seeks a Reactor Operator to safely manufacture liquid soaps and personal care products. You will blend raw materials per approved formulas, operate reactors and pumps, and ensure GMP, quality, and safety compliance throughout production.

You will monitor batch processes, verify QC approvals, document data accurately, and participate in continuous improvement while mentoring others on the line.

Qualifications

• GMP knowledge and safe chemical handling required.
• Ability to follow batch records and manufacturing instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot equipment.
• Read scales and measuring devices accurately; basic math skills.
• Identify quality issues during manufacturing; document precisely.

Responsibilities

• Safely manufacture liquid products per batch records and SOPs.
• Review schedules, tickets, and formulas before runs.
• Verify raw materials have QC approval before use.
• Weigh and add raw materials in correct sequence.
• Operate reactors, mixing tanks, pumps, and related equipment.
• Monitor temperature, viscosity, time, speed, and appearance.
• Record production data with approvals and deviations.
• Transport materials using forklifts; communicate inventory needs.
• Transfer batches to filling or holding tanks; label products.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Clean and sanitize equipment between runs; maintain 5S.
• Complete production documentation in real time.
• Train and mentor new Reactor Operators; support improvements.
