Aerotek is hiring for a Mechanical Assembler to build radiator cores in Kenosha, WI. The role involves reading blueprints, assembling metal components, and using power tools in a hands-on environment on first shift.

Work is in a two-person team, with overhead cranes involved and a focus on safety and quality. This contract-to-hire position offers daytime hours and opportunities to grow in precision manufacturing for industrial cooling solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in assembly or machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of experience using power tools in an industrial setting.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Experience reading blueprints for mechanical assembly tasks.
• Experience operating or working around overhead cranes and related material-handling equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a two-person team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
• Comfort with metal components and fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble radiator cores according to production requirements and quality standards.
• Operate a slitting machine and load spools of metals; monitor operation.
• Collaborate in two-person teams to feed metal pipes through core sheathing and complete the core structure.
• Read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions to ensure accuracy.
• Use power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools for precise cuts and fits.
• Inspect assembled cores for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow shop safety guidelines.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Assembly Supervisor to meet production goals.
