Job summary

Twin Disc is hiring a Manufacturing Quality Inspector in Racine to ensure products and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements. You will perform inspections at multiple stages, document results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will read blueprints, GD&T, and specifications, record results, and help drive corrective actions. The role requires collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years quality inspection in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Proficient in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication across levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections of manufactured components and finished products.
• Verify product specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and instructions.
• Record inspection results and maintain quality records and documentation.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials and products.
• Generate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions as required.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with requirements.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
• Assist in internal audits and quality system compliance activities.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve concerns.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Maintain calibration awareness of inspection equipment and proper handling.
