Job summary

Muncie Power Products in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect materials, castings and purchased components for adherence to standards. The role requires disciplined, detail-oriented work and a methodical approach to ensure accuracy and on-time task completion.

Responsibilities include processing heat treatment coupons, inspecting castings and fixtures, developing inspection plans, training staff on gauging techniques, and maintaining quality records in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years as an inspector in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret drawings with basic blueprint geometry.
• Basic inspection skills with hand gauging instruments.
• Basic machining knowledge of fixtures and work holding.
• Skill and knowledge of inspection equipment.
• Ability to use PCs to run software programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to document problem-solving efforts.
• Capable of presenting information in small groups.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Process heat treatment coupons on a regular basis.
• Perform skilled inspections with tight tolerances.
• Develop and maintain receiving inspection plans for all purchased components.
• Provide hands-on training in inspection gauging, plans, and reporting.
• Identify and purchase gauging to support inspection plans.
• Execute the quality function for non-conforming material reviews.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Conduct functional tests on material as required.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.
