A strong eye for detail and knowledge of inspection methods are essential. The role requires reading blueprints and specs, using calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and maintaining accurate quality records in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection/assurance experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or quality documentation systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001, ACI, ASME, or AWS (as applicable).
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Understanding of measurement and test equipment calibration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records per company policies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality policies.
• Identify non-conforming materials or products and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Perform inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished goods to ensure specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
