Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify materials, components, and processes meet standards. You will inspect, document findings, and collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.

Emphasis on attention to detail and continuous improvement across projects. Role requires reading blueprints and technical specs, using calipers and gauges, and ensuring compliance with QMS and industry safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection or QA experience in manufacturing/construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with QMS and standards (ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, etc.).
• HS diploma or GED; associate degree or technical cert preferred.
• Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing QC plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Document inspection results and maintain records per policies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Identify non-conforming materials and initiate corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Read blueprints and drawings; interpret specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision tools.
