Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Inspector Level 2 for a one-month contract in Brownsville, TX. You will support the first shift on a full-time schedule performing end-to-end inspections of components and assemblies, using precision tools to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on inspection, experience with borescopes, GD&T proficiency, and a sharp eye for defects. Background checks and ITAR compliance are required for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.
