Job summary

Globe Composite Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will visually and mechanically inspect incoming materials from vendors to ensure conformance to specifications and certifications, perform in-process inspections, and verify finished parts prior to shipping.

The role requires evaluating measurements with height gauges, micrometers, indicators, and calipers, and preparing inspection reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Material handling and forklift experience (not required).

Responsibilities

• Inspects incoming materials and parts visually and mechanically from outside vendors to ensure conformance to specifications and certifications.
• Performs in-process inspection of parts and operations at any stage of production.
• Performs finished parts inspection prior to shipping to confirm specifications have been met.
• Performs inspections as required using height gauges, micrometers, indicators, tape measures, calipers, optical comparators, and scales.
• Prepares parts and respective paperwork for customer or source inspection.
• Creates legible Inspection Reports recording the results of inspection and keeps documentation organized.
• Supports other Quality Department tasks as needed.
• Supports the overall business through the timely completion of inspection and documentation tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
