Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach seeks a Quality Inspector to support the Terran R program. You will perform dimensional inspections, verify drawings and specs, and ensure parts meet quality standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will use calipers, micrometers, profilometers, and other tools, document results, and contribute to nonconformance reports. The role includes a 2nd shift with a 10% differential and a 50-hour week, with occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in mechanical inspection or quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs; GD&T familiarity.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of helicoils, keenserts, AS5202 port threads and surface finishes.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined components for conformance to drawings.
• Use calipers, micrometers, profilometers, thread/pin gauges to check specs.
• Document inspection results and write nonconformance reports.
• Perform visual inspection for burrs, damage, scratches, or FOD.
• Keep the quality lab and metrology tools clean and organized.
