Job summary

Aerotek in Portland, OR is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure manufactured components meet quality standards using GD&T and precision measurement tools. You will inspect with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and profilometers, interpret drawings, and support core quality systems.

This contract-to-hire role requires independent work and collaboration with production and quality teams, with a pay range of $21.00–$25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Hands-on quality control and inspection in a production setting.
• Ability to interpret specifications and drawings with GD&T requirements.
• Proven reliability and punctual attendance from prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, thread gauges, and profilometers to inspect and verify product dimensions.
• Interpret and apply drawings and specifications with GD&T requirements to determine inspection criteria.
• Prioritize, schedule, and complete inspection tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
• Identify and resolve quality issues independently and lead team-based improvements.
• Support quality systems including RMA, NCMR, and FAI processes.
• Perform inspections throughout production to ensure compliance with procedures and customer requirements.
• Accurately document results and communicate findings to production and quality teams.
• Work onsite in a plastic machine shop and clean room following safety and quality procedures.
