Job summary

Machinists Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to accurately evaluate and document receiving, in-process and final inspection of highly intricate prototype, custom parts and assemblies for Aerospace, military, Energy Production and R&D.

You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and report nonconforming products with precision. The role requires strong math, measurement skills, and attention to detail, supporting engineering to improve accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of machining shop experience.
• Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Solid understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with CMM measurement and inspection methods.
• Attention to accuracy and documentation of nonconformances.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections on CNC parts.
• Interpret GD&T and measure features to verify conformance.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and surface plates.
• Create and review inspection docs for materials and products.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs and purchase orders.
• Support engineering to improve accuracy.
