Job summary

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Quality Inspector I to perform mechanical inspections of machined components, assemblies, and castings in support of receiving inspection, validation, and process improvement activities.

The role involves open set-up inspections, reading engineering drawings, and applying GD&T principles while supporting operator certification initiatives across the facility. Strong communication and numerical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• 0–2 years of inspection experience within a precision machining and/or casting environment.
• Ability to perform mechanical inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and dimensional inspections of machined components, assemblies, and castings.
• Support receiving inspection, validation, and process improvement activities.
• Perform open set-up inspections utilizing various inspection equipment and visual standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles during daily inspection activities.
• Apply shop mathematics and precision measurement techniques as needed.
• Support Operator Certification initiatives throughout the facility.
• Document inspection results accurately and communicate quality-related findings.
