Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Quality Inspector to evaluate statistical data and ensure the quality and reliability of products for our 1st shift facility. You will perform first article inspections, review blueprints, and conduct in-process audits against material routings, using Pareto charts and control plans to support quality objectives and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of related experience, with strong math skills

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED with 5 years related experience.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and drawings.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Quality inspector evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

Perform first article inspection with detailed documentation.
Work with minimal supervision using detailed procedures, forms and manuals as a guide to job performance.
In process auditing that will require the review of operator and process performance working to specifications as referred to in material routings.
Use control plans, Material routing instructions, computer print outs, and Pareto charts.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
