Job summary

Sanmina Houston is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of mechanical and electrical parts, ensure conformance to drawings and order requirements, and support internal machining with CMM and gages.

The role requires reading drawings, maintaining inspection records, reviewing test reports, and preparing NCRs, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to ITAR and defense/aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED.
• 2+ years of quality experience.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, customer standards, and purchase order requirements.
• Basic computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of measurement instruments and tools.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Defense/Aerospace Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of mechanical and electrical parts from internal and external suppliers.
• Record and maintain logs of defects; communicate findings to production, engineering, and management.
• Review material test reports and certificates against drawings and PO requirements for supplier conformance.
• Perform First Article Inspections and create reports of findings.
• Prepare NCRs to document defects.
• Create inspection test plans and bubble drawings for data collection and control plan definition.
• Reconciling and creating packages of final inspection documentation for shipments.
