Job summary

Zero Hour Parts is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to maintain QA processes during product development and manufacturing. You will inspect, test, measure, and document results to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include using calipers, micrometers, and a CMM, interpreting GD&T on blueprints, and generating reports for leaders. Strong data skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable in the use of gauges, calipers and micrometers.
• Experience with quality processes, statistical techniques and FMEA.
• Reading comprehension, knowledge of mathematics, and active listening skills.
• Attention to detail and aptitude for working with data.
• Strong work ethic, good attendance, adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• ASQ certification a plus.
• Metallurgy laboratory training preferred.
• Experience with a wide range of materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and measure finished parts per standards and customer specs.
• Measure parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Operate CMM to test part capability.
• Read GD&T symbols and interpret blueprints.
• Document findings and compile quality data for leadership.
• Sign Certificates of Conformation for packing.
• Complete first article inspections and ensure paperwork is included.
• Accept or reject parts that fail to meet specs.
• Maintain inventory of shop tools.
• Stay current with quality standards and accreditation requirements.
• Adhere to Zero Hour Parts quality system and meet customer expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
