Job summary

Laborup in Laconia, NH is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure precision-manufactured components meet drawings, tolerances, and customer requirements. This role emphasizes hands-on inspection across receiving, in-process, and final checks.

You will read technical drawings, use micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and other gauges, and contribute to root-cause analysis, calibration support, and QA documentation. Shift: 2nd shift, 3pm-2am, Mon-Thu.

Qualifications

• Experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Familiarity with GD&T and ISO-based QMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of components.
• Read and interpret drawings and tolerances.
• Inspect with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) according to requirements.
• Verify dimensional accuracy and identify nonconforming parts.
• Document inspection results and maintain QC records in the QMS.
• Collaborate with manufacturing/engineering to document nonconformities.
• Assist disposition of discrepant material.
• Support calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment.
• Participate in internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
