Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet quality standards through inspections and testing. You will work with cross-functional teams, interpret drawings, and document results to improve quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include inspecting receipts, tracking materials in ERP, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires 1+ year of experience, familiarity with Epicor, and strong communication skills, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role.
• Knowledge of inspection tools: Micrometers, Tape Measure, Calipers.
• Ability to interpret product drawings.
• Forklift certification a plus; training available.
• Troubleshoot using basic problem-solving techniques.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment.
• MS Office proficiency a plus.
• Knowledge of Epicor, Slack, and Box a plus.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Willingness to learn and ask questions.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle changing priorities.
• Overtime may be needed to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Use ERP software for tracking inbound materials for inspection.
• Perform quality inspections of receipts per procedures.
• Track, trace, inspect, and update status of certified material using ERP.
• Collaborate with Senior Quality Inspector to validate errors when materials misalign with drawings.
• Maintain clear documentation of certified material using internal tagging.
• Meet department goals following company standards.
• Communicate with other team members.
• Adapt to changing priorities during the shift.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Capture all labor hours in Epicor.
• Incorporate TAIT’s 5 standards: Safety, Quality, Team, Schedule, Cost.
• Take ownership for decisions, actions, performance, and behavior.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and trainings as required.
• Perform duties according to company policies.
