Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II specializing in Metrology & GD&T to ensure parts meet customer and engineering standards. You will inspect carbon fiber components, document measurements, and support NCR and ERP processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
• Ability to contribute to formal problem-solving activities.
• Thorough knowledge of composite materials related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be well organized and multitask.
• Attention to detail and good documentation practices.
• Proficient with MS Office products; inspection software knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills essential for measurement and calculation.

Responsibilities

• General knowledge of composites design and manufacturing preferred.
• Understand and follow SOPs, forms, test methods and specifications.
• Perform inspection duties for carbon fiber components.
• Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product line.
• Visual inspection on workmanship criteria.
• Understand blueprints and GD&T.
• Inspect parts using PCMM and other metrology equipment; keep detailed records.
• Document nonconformance via NCR process and disposition defects timely.
• Develop knowledge of ERP system and process incoming RMAs.
• Raise issues to Quality Control Lead, Supervisor, or Manager as appropriate.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedule targets.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and workplace policies.
