Job summary

Tecomet's Arab, Alabama site is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I to perform receiving, in-process, final, and lab certification testing on components and materials. Responsibilities include visual and dimensional inspections, verification of certifications, and ensuring adherence to customer and internal requirements.

Under supervision, you will use basic metrology tools and GD&T principles, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to a safe, compliant manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• No prior work experience required.
• Preferred: experience in a scientific field and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and attribute inspection.
• Verify certifications and 2D reports.
• Open/Run Work To List and review DHRs.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges and gages.
• Ensure GMP and QMS compliance and proper record keeping.
• Train inspection personnel and mentor peers.
• Identify non-conforming material and issue NCMRs.
• Support production with first article inspections as needed.
