Job summary

International Wire Group in Camden, NY is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our OWI plant. This hands-on role inspects incoming and outgoing wire, performs quality-control measurements, and ensures materials meet specifications before shipment.

You will calibrate testing equipment, tag reels, log inspection results, and uphold safety and Lean manufacturing practices. A high school diploma is required; prior QC or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior quality-control, inspection, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with measurement or inspection equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect incoming and outgoing wire for defects or discrepancies.
• Perform required quality-control measurements using established methods.
• Operate measurement equipment and document inspection results.
• Calibrate gram scales and other testing equipment daily.
• Read and follow product requirements and Method Masters.
• Identify wire types, reel sizes, and product specifications.
• Tag, identify, and process reels accurately.
• Enter inspection data into company systems.
• Follow safety and operating procedures and work with Lean initiatives.
• Communicate priorities with supervisors and teammates.
