Job summary

Helpmates in Fountain Valley is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure the highest standards in high-tech tactical products and laser systems. This on-site role offers weekday daytime hours and a clear growth path within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

You will perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, interpret blueprints with GD&T, and document results to support customer satisfaction and product reliability. ASAP start available.

Qualifications

• Sharp visual acuity and spatial reasoning for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, optical comparators.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards and ANSI-Y-14.5 GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to verify tolerances with precision tools.
• Set up, calibrate, and use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Conduct final quality checks, validation tests, and functional tests before shipment.
• Lead or support internal process audits for continuous improvement.
• Document inspection results and non-conformances per procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using 5S.
