Qualifications

• High school diploma with strong math, written and verbal skills.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Manufacturing or laboratory experience preferred.
• Understanding of metric and English measurement units.

• Able to stand for long periods.
• Willing to work any shift, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collects, approves, and files the Certificate of Analysis for incoming raw materials.
• Maintains daily safety regulations, procedures, and housekeeping.
• Qualified to operate all testing equipment in the lab.
• Performs and documents the testing of products from the mixing area.
• Performs and documents in-process testing of TBs and jumbos from coating area.
• Performs and documents slit tape inspections in converting area.
• Keeps operators and shift leaders informed of non-conformances found.
• Ensures hold tags are filled out and attached to non-conforming materials or products.
• Performs and documents aged, finished tape testing.
• Provides test results to the MRB of material returned by customers for credit or replacement.
• Calibrates test equipment at proper intervals; arranges external calibration when needed.
• Maintains and updates Quality Manual, Level 2 procedures, and ISO work instructions.
• Participates as a member of the MRB as required.
• Provides and maintains test data from trial runs.
• Performs all other functions assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
