Job summary

Spencer Composites, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Bow Systems, Inc., is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist/Inspector to operate coordinate measuring machines and calibrated hand instruments to inspect manufactured parts for quality control purposes.

The role requires 3+ years of CMM experience, proficiency with PC-DMIS/Veri-Surf/Calypso, and strong GD&T knowledge, with the ability to read drawings and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience operating CMM equipment.
• Proficiency with CMM software: PC-DMIS, Veri-Surf, Calypso.
• Strong GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMM, Laser Tracker, FARO Arm to perform dimensional measurements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Program CMM software to create measurement routines.
• Conduct inspections and record measurement data.
• Analyze results and identify deviations from specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Maintain CMM equipment and calibration records.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on quality issues.
• Inspect received goods as needed.
