Job summary

EK is seeking an experienced punch press operator to read blueprints, calculate bend allowances, and select tooling for a wide range of parts. You will set up, adjust, and operate the punch press, run prototype orders, and document inspection data with precision instruments.

The role requires a certificate or equivalent and 3–5 years of related experience, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and productive teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years related experience or training and/or a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Calculate bend allowances for materials and thicknesses.
• Select proper punch and die tooling.
• Set up, adjust, and operate the punch press for diverse operations.
• Set up for prototype jobs and new parts orders.
• Write set-up sheets and operate advanced programming functions.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring equipment and document data.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
