John Deere Davenport Works in Davenport, IA is seeking a Production Welder to perform welding in a production environment with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. You will weld parts and sub-assemblies, adjust equipment for quality, and follow detailed work instructions.

Starting pay is $29.00 per hour. The role requires compliance with safety standards, ability to lift, stand, and work various shifts, including overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a weld certification (or equivalent) or at least 6 months welding in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform manual tasks for duration of shift (standing, bending, lifting, repetitive actions).
• Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

Responsibilities

• Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes.
• Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality.
• Read and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Use tools to record data and maintain quality/maintenance records.
• Check results for conformity to specifications and correct as needed.
• Operate forklifts and industrial trucks to move materials and equipment.
• Use CNC/robotic welding equipment and hand tools as required.
• Lubricate, inspect, and clean equipment and tooling.
• Assist and support other team members.
• Clean work area and perform other duties.
