Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a manufacturing operator to set up and operate tools per specifications, verify quality, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. You will follow orders, handle materials, and may be trained as a forklift operator to support production needs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is preferred. The role requires the ability to work in a noisy environment and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or assembly is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
• Studies work orders and specifications to ensure proper setup sequence.
• Selects, places, and secures tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Observes tasks to verify quality performance.
• Verifies gauges, calipers, and micrometers are in proper working order.
• Sets and adjusts controls to regulate machines.
• Cleans equipment and maintains a clean manufacturing area.
• Follows directions to operate machinery and handle materials.
• May be trained as forklift operator or other powered equipment handler.
• Reports issues to supervisor or higher-level staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains a safe work environment.
