Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Warren, MI is hiring a Production Machine Operator. You will safely operate and control various machines used in production according to prints and specifications, including presses and slitters, to meet required part quantities and tolerances.

You will measure parts with precision tools, maintain logs, inspect equipment, and keep your area clean and safe while performing related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or completion of related apprenticeship preferred.
• At least one year of related experience required.
• On-the-job training may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery per prints and specs; including presses, slitters, knife cutters, and similar equipment.
• Produce the required quantity within specifications and tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with precision tools to meet function and cosmetic specs.
• Maintain logs of units produced and document errors or discards.
• Inspect equipment before use and perform basic adjustments and maintenance.
• Keep a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
