Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus, NE is seeking a production operator to operate and tend diverse stamping and cutting equipment. You will set up lines, load materials, and ensure correct materials are on hand while meeting specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment & processes preferred.
• Must be able to accurately identify different types of raw materials.
• Must be able to compute material and finished product counts using basic math skills and a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend production machines including punch presses and other equipment.
• Run products as assigned after setup and inspect per specifications.
• Set up stamping lines and ensure materials are present and correct.
• Advise die makers on set up requirements for the products being run.
• Load coil stock and feed into dies, ensuring proper tool care.
• Use machine tools such as lathe, high speed punch press, cut-off saws and deburring equipment.
