Job summary

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE is hiring a 2nd shift Press Operator. You will operate and tend punch presses and other production machinery to manufacture Vishay components, ensuring quality and efficiency in metal parts production.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and familiarity with press equipment, with basic math skills for material counts and production paperwork. Overtime may be available, and Vishay offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend production machines such as punch presses and feed systems.
• Run products as assigned on 2nd shift.
• Set up stamping line per specifications and ensure raw materials present.
• Advise die makers on setup requirements for the product being run.
• Load coil stock onto de-reeler and feed into dies accurately.
• Utilize machine tools including lathe, punch press, cut-off saws, and deburring equipment.

Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics - Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Press Operator on 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations.

Job Summary:

Operates and tends all types of production machines such as several different types of punch presses and feed systems, cut-off saws, deburring machines to product production parts of various metals to include steel, aluminum, copper and other resistive materials, as well as one non-metallic materials.

What you will be doing:

• At completion of set-up, run an appropriate sample and ensure inspection is performed as required by the appropriate specification.
• Run products as assigned.
• Operator manual feed presses and/or RH lines if assigned per appropriate specification.
• Set-up stamping line per specifications and ensure all raw materials are present and correct.
• When appropriate advice die makers of the set-up required for the product you will be running.
• Loads coil stock material onto de-reeler and starts coil stock into dies at proper place as to insure proper tool care.
• Use of machine tools to include lathe, high speed punch press, cut-off saws, and de-burning equipment.

• Must be able to accurately identify different types of raw materials
• Must be able to compute material and finished product counts using basic math skills and a calculator
