Job summary

Wagner is seeking a Press Operator in Milwaukee to set up, adjust, and run multiple punch presses and drill & tap machines on a mixed product line. You will move sheet and coil stock using overhead cranes or forklifts, and ensure quality data is recorded accurately.

The role demands mechanical aptitude, basic math, and the ability to read and follow instructions. Prior setup experience and safe operation of powered equipment are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school coursework or sanctioned apprenticeship.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate press after setup, including presses with automatic feeds.
• Align and secure dies, set stop gauges, stripper, knockout, ejecting, and safety devices on punch presses and drill & tap equipment.
• Set and adjust mechanical grip feeders and servo feeders per stroke cycles.
• Unload incoming sheet and coil using overhead crane or forklift.
• Inspect raw materials and complete quality inspection papers; enter data into the system.
• Assist with setups and safety devices on presses and drill & tap equipment.
• Check first runs and subsequent pieces with measuring equipment.
• Maintain 5-S workplace; keep area organized and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
