Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Press Brake Setup Technician in Illinois to join its first-shift team. You will independently set up, program, adjust, and operate press brake equipment to produce precision sheet metal parts.

The ideal candidate has five years of press brake setup and operating experience, strong blueprint-reading and measurement skills, and can train operators when leads are unavailable. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), PTO, life insurance, disability, and an employee bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Five years of press brake setup and operating experience preferred.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently set up equipment with minimal adjustments or supervision.
• Strong blueprint-reading and precision measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, adjust, and operate press brake machines
• Install, align, and change tooling based on job specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules
• Verify angles, dimensions, bend sequences, and completed parts
• Use calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot process issues, clear alarms, and make minor machine adjustments
• Complete first-piece and periodic quality inspections
• Minimize scrap while meeting production and quality requirements
• Train and assist operators with machine operation, inspection, and setup procedures
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Follow all machine-guarding and workplace safety requirements
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
