Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Sheet Metal Press Brake Setup & Forming Specialist to turn engineered drawings into precise parts. You will run Amada press brake and laser equipment, form simple bends with accuracy, and keep production flowing, including optional drill press tasks.

The role requires strong blueprint reading, measuring with calipers and micrometers, and a detail-driven approach to quality. On-site work in Wisconsin with a safety-focused, 5S environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years on comparable equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Internal candidates: two or fewer “Inconsistent” ratings to proceed; three+ disqualify.
• Any “Unsatisfactory” rating on the most recent review is disqualifying.

Responsibilities

• Identify correct materials, programs, and dies from work orders for both the laser and brake press.
• Set up tooling and load preprogrammed instructions; adjust on the fly for best results.
• Diagnose cutting problems, tooling wear, and equipment alarms.
• Improve processes to hit quality targets and reduce cycle times.
• Deburr parts with manual and automatic equipment to spec.
