Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a press brake operator to set up, program and run a press brake, ensuring safe and efficient production. You will perform first-piece inspections, adjust equipment, and assist with changeovers, while maintaining quality and documentation.

The role requires following instructions, strong math skills, and reliable work history. Candidates should be able to read work orders and participate in safety and maintenance activities on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Must read and comprehend written instructions.
• Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of using measuring devices.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Preparation: Prepare production equipment setup and assist with changeovers.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections and adjust as needed.
• Training: Assist in training others on procedures and best practices.
• Machine Operation: Operate press brake, solve process problems, report data and consult supervisor as needed.
• Operational Maintenance: Manage equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods; report changes.
• Preventative Maintenance: Adhere to PM policies and report repairs.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean working environment per rules.
• Team Collaboration: Work with team members to achieve goals and adapt to re-assignments.
• Other Duties: Support production goals as assigned.
