Job summary

Strong Hold in Louisville, KY is seeking a reliable 1st Shift Press Break Operator to setup, adjust, and run press brake machinery to bend heavy-duty steel components for cabinets, workstations, and carts.

You will read blueprints, select tooling, perform quality inspections, and maintain a clean, safe workstation. Prior experience with press brakes or precision sheet metal fabrication is valued; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with press brakes or precision sheet metal fabrication is valued.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program press brake machines with dies, punches, and back gauges per blueprints.
• Form and bend sheet metal and steel plate to precise angles for cabinets/workstations/carts.
• Read blueprints and job orders to determine material requirements and bending sequences.
• Inspect finished components using calipers, squares, and tapes to ensure quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, safe workstation.
