Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking an experienced Fabrication Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio. You will set up and operate press brake machinery to bend sheet metal and form components used in electrical enclosures and related products.

The ideal candidate has press brake experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and meticulous attention to detail. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining production standards and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a press brake in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Strong measuring skills with tape measures and calipers.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake equipment per blueprints and work orders.
• Read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and bend diagrams.
• Select tooling, dies, and punches according to material and job.
• Program and adjust machine settings for bends and tolerances.
• Measure and inspect parts throughout production.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
• Verify material type, thickness, and quantities before starting.
• Perform first-piece inspections and adjust as needed.
• Safely load and unload sheet metal.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and follow PPE.
• Communicate with team and other fabrication departments.
