Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of press brake operation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
• Familiar with various metals and their properties.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts and tools from metal, ensuring precise bending, shaping, and cutting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine appropriate machine settings and production specifications.
• Inspect completed workpieces for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities. Complete necessary documentation for quality control and inventory management.
• Work closely with other team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to resolve any production issues and improve overall efficiency.
