Job summary

The Davis Companies Inc. in Suwanee, GA is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for 1st shift to set up, operate and maintain press brake equipment, read blueprints, and verify dimensions.

You will contribute to a sheet metal fabrication team, ensuring quality and on-time production through precise setups, measurement, and collaboration with Quality and Production teams. Schedule: Mon-Thu, 6:30 AM–4:45 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of press brake operating experience preferred.
• Experience with machine setups and tooling changes.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Strong measurement skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to form sheet metal components according to specifications.
• Review production schedules and prioritize work to meet customer deadlines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Select proper tooling and perform machine setups and changeovers.
• Verify dimensions and angles using calipers, protractors, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare completed parts for the next stage of production.
• Communicate machine or tooling issues and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
• Follow all quality, safety, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
