Qualifications

  • Experience with powder coat process is required.
  • Able to titrate and adjust chemical level of seven-stage spray wash.
  • Must read and understand bill of materials (BOM).
  • Internal training per SOP and training sheet; OSHA safety training is required.

Responsibilities

  • Titrate spray wash and adjust as needed; may perform advanced wet painting.
  • Prepare product prior to paint application.
  • Take mil thickness readings and adjust when out of specification.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and production.
  • Perform cross hatch paint adhesion test.
  • Check paint booth parts for wear; replace as needed.
  • Troubleshoot common recurring problems without assistance.
  • Perform maintenance on paint equipment.
  • Handle paint, related materials, and hazardous wastes properly.
