Job summary

EXALTA is seeking a polishing technician to set up and operate buffing and polishing equipment to create a finished surface that meets print and customer specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, maintaining tight tolerances, and performing quality checks on stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum parts.

Work in a controlled environment with exposure to fumes and noise; follow ISO 13485 and FDA documentation, and complete maintenance and production data records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in polishing stainless steel, titanium and aluminum preferred.
• Experience in ISO/FDA environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and hold tight tolerances.
• Proficient in use of machine shop measuring tools.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Polish instruments per print specifications and polish surfaces to required finish.
• Setup and operate buffing and polishing equipment.
• Inspect finished workpieces to ensure dimensions meet blueprint specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on polishing equipment and maintain logs.
• Document all production data per ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
