Job summary

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and run a Polar cutter, convert measurements between metric and imperial, and ensure accurate, high-quality cuts. You will load materials, monitor production efficiency, and perform routine maintenance while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to convert measurements between metric and imperial units.
• Experience reading rulers and calipers; digital measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Polar cutter to cut materials per job specs.
• Program the cutter and manage unit conversions (metric/imperial).
• Load sheets and prepare materials for cutting.
• Monitor production for efficiency and minimize waste.
• Perform initial test cuts and quality checks; document deviations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the cutter; coordinate with maintenance.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE are followed; report hazards.
• Keep production logs and records up to date.
