Job summary

Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering in Indiana is seeking a Precision Plating and Finishing Operator. You will operate coating, blasting, masking, plating, and chamber processes, following SOPs to ensure top-quality parts for aerospace, energy, and electronics.

Shifts are 12 hours (7:30–7:30) on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule, with potential overtime, weekends, or holidays. A high school diploma or GED and strict safety adherence are required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate processes spanning coating, blasting, masking, plating, and chamber operations, following SOPs precisely.
  • Inspect parts and materials at each stage to catch defects, contamination, damage, or any nonconforming condition, then take action or escalation through the proper channel.
  • Load and unload customer hardware with the correct tools and material-handling methods, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
  • Keep equipment and work areas in top shape—routine cleaning, basic upkeep—and flag equipment concerns to leadership immediately.
  • Document production data, complete job routers and quality forms, and report nonconformances as required.
  • Jump in where needed across departments, tackling additional tasks or projects based on production priorities.

Imagine your shift

It’s 7:30 and your 12-hour day (or night) begins. You review the job instructions, prep your station, and rotate through key operations:

  • Operate processes spanning coating, blasting, masking, plating, and chamber operations, following SOPs precisely.
  • Inspect parts and materials at each stage to catch defects, contamination, damage, or any nonconforming condition, then take action or escalation through the proper channel.
  • Load and unload customer hardware with the correct tools and material-handling methods, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
  • Keep equipment and work areas in top shape—routine cleaning, basic upkeep—and flag equipment concerns to leadership immediately.
  • Document production data, complete job routers and quality forms, and report nonconformances as required.
  • Jump in where needed across departments, tackling additional tasks or projects based on production priorities.

When you’ll work

  • Monday–Friday alternating 2/2/3 schedule.
  • 12-hour shifts running 7:30–7:30 on both day and night rotations.
