Job summary

Greenwood Fabricating & Plating, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented operator to determine plating parameters and material specifications from customer orders. You will ensure production and quality standards, follow safety rules, and maintain documentation.

The role involves handling parts through cleaning, plating, rinsing, drying, testing, and packaging. Responsibilities include visual inspection, thickness and adhesion testing, and routine preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Clear, legible handwriting required.
• Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
• Skill in using measuring tools, gauges and test equipment.
• Understanding of decimals and fractions.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprint specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
• Job requires standing, stooping and bending most of the time.

Responsibilities

• Follows customer service schedule and assist customer service when requested.
• Determines plating parameters (time, current) per standard procedures.
• Visually inspects parts during cleaning and rinse stages.
• Dries, inspects, and packs plated parts per specs.
• Performs thickness and adhesion tests and documents results.
• Keeps work area clean and safe; follows safety rules.
• Fills out daily preventive maintenance check sheets.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance as needed.
• Operates Stand Up Forklift.
