Safran Landing Systems Gloucester is seeking a Plating Technician to operate plating lines for cadmium, chrome, nickel and zinc/nickel with a focus on quality and safety. You will read technical drawings, measure parts and contribute to continuous improvement in a high-precision environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with plating processes and measuring tools, plus strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in chrome, cadmium, nickel and zinc/nickel plating.
• Competent with measuring equipment and reading technical drawings.
• Completed a processing apprenticeship or equivalent is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Process components through plating operations such as cadmium, chrome, nickel, and zinc/nickel.
• Perform associated tasks including oven work and cadmium passivation.
• Measure components before and after plating using micrometres, callipers, and permascopes.
• Manage chemical additions to processing vats and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
