Job summary

Lapham Hickey is seeking a Burn Table Operator to cut material per customer specs using plasma burn table equipment. You will set up, program, measure, and inspect material, then package for shipping and perform basic maintenance.

You must stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and use PPE in a noisy shop environment. Experience with burn tables is preferred; safety is emphasized, and teamwork is essential for coordinating with shifts.

Qualifications

• One year burn table experience preferred.
• Ability to read measuring tools and equipment.
• Safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Proficient math with fractions and decimals.
• Good color recognition per company system.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavier objects with assistance.
• Respect safety procedures and work in a production team.

Responsibilities

• Load equipment with product using crane or forklift to prepare for cutting.
• Program or download settings per customer specs for cutting.
• Measure material before/after cutting to ensure spec compliance.
• Pack material for shipping when needed.
• Complete inspection reports after measuring.
• Perform preventive maintenance on torches and equipment.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE such as gloves and glasses.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
