Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Pipefitter for a Wilmington, DE project-based contract-to-hire role. You will interpret shop drawings, perform complex rigging, and install equipment with precision—anchoring, leveling, and aligning machinery on industrial construction sites.

The position requires reading isometric and P&ID diagrams, plus welding and mechanical skills. 3+ years of pipe fitting experience is preferred. On-site, day shifts with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Interpret and analyze shop drawings for construction or fabrication.
• Read isometric diagrams and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• 3+ years of pipe fitting experience preferred.
• Experience in industrial construction and pipe fitting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze shop drawings for construction or fabrication.
• Perform complex rigging tasks for equipment installation.
• Ensure precision installation by anchoring, leveling, and aligning machinery.
• Read and understand isometric and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Utilize industrial, mechanical, and welding skills effectively.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including pipe machines, burning torches, grinders, porta-band machines, chain falls, hand tools, and mobile equipment.
