Job summary

Aerotek in Mobile, AL is hiring a Pipe Fitter to assemble, install, and maintain piping systems in industrial environments. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and PVC, and using pipe fitting tools to fit and secure pipes.

You will work with engineers, welders, and maintenance teams to ensure proper system integration and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial piping and maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble piping systems for industrial machinery and infrastructure, including cutting, threading, bending, and welding pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems, including replacing worn or damaged components.
• Align and secure pipes using brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and maintenance teams to ensure proper system integration.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs.
