Job summary

AIS in Leominster, MA is seeking a Picker/Packer on the 1st shift to pull and pack hardware and components for customer orders. You will read labels, verify parts, and prepare shipments with accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities include scanning, packing, and handling paperwork, while meeting the department schedule and ensuring locations are organized. Overtime may be required during the week and on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand paperwork (part labels, locations, special instructions)
• Able to work quickly and efficiently to ensure accuracy of parts picked and put away
• Lift 50+ lbs repetitively from floor to shoulder height
• Able to take direction and work well with others
• Overtime – as needed during the week/Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Pulling parts for orders
• Scanning part and bin labels accurately for verification of parts
• Wrapping and packing parts for shipping purposes
• Reading paperwork/drawings for item and quantity
• Work toward department schedule
• Picking orders in the sequence determined by group leader
• Maintain organization and accuracy of locations inside the department
• Locations should be replenished
• Trash/plastic thrown away
• Delivery of finished product to the shipping department
• Read a tape measure
• Pick efficiency equal to or higher than average set by the team
• Occasional assembly of items
