Job summary

PruittHealth Pharmacy Services Lexington in Lexington, SC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare medications under the direction of the pharmacist. Pull medications from shelves, label and package, verify against prescriptions, and assist with inventory and delivery processes.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, SC Certified Pharmacy Technician, National Certification, and up to 3 years of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be a current Certified Pharmacy Technician – State of South Carolina.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required.
• 3 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Familiar with medical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pulls correct medication form from shelf and scans against prescription label for accuracy.
• Packages medication in appropriate container for correct dispensing system.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations according to written orders.
• Labels medication container with correct prescription label and necessary auxiliary labels.
• Maintains logs, records and other required documentation accurately.
• Collects data, conducts operation checklists and quality monitors and completes documentation.
• Assists in training new partners as required.
• Operates dispensing equipment including ATP-384, InSpectRx and Corrector.
